Just this afternoon I looked in my 10 gallon and saw one of my glowlights on the filter intake :bawl:. The cause of death is unknown. This weekend was very busy so I didn't get a chance for a pwc, but I checked the water just before I did one today:
Ammonia 0-.25 (it was yellow with the slightest green tint. I'm guessing it was due to the fish being in there while I was at school)
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10-20
For some reason she (I think) was really bloated, but I don't think it was over feeding.
You'll always be swimming in my mind lol. Rest in Peace Swimmy

Well I looked it up and "If you take good care of your Glowlight tetra, it can live for up to 2-4 years in captivity." I have kept her for a minimum of 2 years and possibly 4 as I'm not sure if I got her with my 5 g (when I was inexperienced) or with my 10g (a lot more experienced than when I got the 5, but not any where near as much as I am now). So she lived a full life :']

Thanks dk. Although it could have been much worse. In about 3 weeks I'm going on a weekend trip to louisville with some classmates. It could have been a disaster if it happened then because no one probably would see it. I'm sure it's in a much better place now, probably in a humongous Amazonian biotope lol.

Thanks an t-iasg. Nothing will replace her, but I guess I will have to move on and get another one since they're tetras and like to school.

Yes, you should have no problems with them in the 5 gallon, and then they can happily join their other tankmates when the QT period is over :)

Thanks again. I looked in my 10 gallon and it appears I have 2 females and 2 males. I'm not sure about the ones in qt, they're a little to young to tell.
