one of my long fin black skirt tetras, has developed a reddish hue on its lower fin, i don't remember it being there before. my other black skirts don't have this discoloration.

is this a normal occurrence or is something wrong with the fish?

It could have gotten nipped and gotten an infection, I would watch it and see if it gets worse before doing anything drastic. Are your parameters looking okay?

i have noticed nipping between the tetras, they nip each other regularly. and my water parameters are all fine, should i possibly add some stress coat to my tank ?

I honestly wouldn't do anything. If it gets worse yes, but it should heal on its own so long as your water stays clean.
