I have a fantail who has always been in good health, and just now I notice he/she has a red (blood red) dot between its two anal fins and the undersides of the caudal fins. Is this where the gonopore or whatever is located? Any idea what is wrong with my fish and what I can do to help? The fish doesn't seem to be acting differently than usual.

I guess its not between the caudal and anal fins, but actually slightly in front of the anal fins. It looks like a bloody little spot / hole maybe. It appeared pretty suddenly I think. I just put some of the "Fungus Care" goldfish stuff in the tank so we'll see what happens.
