Hi everyone,

Has anybody seen this before? This tetra has had a white/bubbly eye for weeks. He's active, eating and otherwise fine except for this gross eye. It doesn't look like popeye which I've been reading about.

He was in with a rather aggressive guppy and I can't help but wonder if this is due to damage. It doesn't appear to be anything that has spread to any other fish.

Any ideas?

Thank you

I can't tell for sure, but is there any fin damage? Thats always what I look for first when I think I might have an aggressive fish

There's not really any fin damage but I did take the a-hole guppy and move him to a different tank a few weeks ago. This tetra really does seem to be acting normally... He just has what looks like this white dome over his eye. He's most certainly blind on that side....

I'm struggling to get a better picture but go figure, the fish just won't hold still.

My biggest concern is it is something that will spread (if it isn't damage).

I don't like senselessly "off'ing" a fish, but I wonder if he's uncomfortable, sick, a bio threat to the others?

Ugh.

I've moved him in the hospital tank with some general meds in the water. I'll give him the recommended weeks worth of treatment and see how things go.

Thank you all for the help.
