Hello,

My Ancistrus (her name is Lady) got sick. Some kind of wounds / scratches on her belly (https://imgur.com/a/OAuhISB). Other fish are healthy, Noticed yesterday and it got worse over night.

Tank: 240 liters
Water parameters – all good (made a test)
Lives with compatible and non-aggressive fish. Lives with such fish all her live.
Tank is planted. Fertilized every day for a long time. Also using CO2 (over day, shuts down over night).
Tank is being cleaned every 10 days.
Lady eats special food for Ancistrus and cucumber.
She is 8 years old.

Please, any advices would be very helpful. I love this fish.

How is it going?

One other member noticed that her Pleco had an injury on the belly. It could be from the heater.

Upping the water changing, and if you have a heater without a cover, maybe use a cover on it.

You can makeshift one with a plastic needle point canvas
like this /comes in different sizes and colors as well.

You can cut to size and use fishing line to sew it up. Slide it up onto the heater.

Remove the heater from the wall plug and cool before working on it, so there won't be an injury.
