Yeah since they shared water, whatever the BNP has, has been exposed to the eel. It's not guarenteed that he'll show symptoms of it, but you should still take the precautionary measures. Furan-2, epsoms, low temp, and extra aerration.

Ok! I've turned my heater down a little and I have ordered furan 2 off amazon! Petsmart didnt have it, neither did my local fish store! I do have Epsom salt though! I have one bubble wand.. Do I need another?
