Small White worms

Hi I have a 10 gallon freshwater with little wiggling worms that look like a strand from a filter cartridge if you look closely they are the small lines what are these and how do I get rid of them?

Detritus worms. Vac the gravel better when your doing water changes. Do more water changes. Don't over feed.

is there any meds that would kill them because i have substrate that is VERY hard to syphon?

No need for meds.. just fix your tank husbandry and they will go away.
