snail moved to hospital tank-- what wil he eat

i just moved my snail to a hospital tank after it seemed he wasn't doing well with the medication and salt in the ich tank. there is no algae in the hospital tank yet, so i through in an algae wafter. is there any thing else i should to make sure his dietary needs are met?

Veggies...lettuce...carrots...just make sure you wash it throughly with water before feeding. Ahhh, that's thinly sliced carrots.
