Snails might be dead?!?

Will a mystery snail fall a the way out of there shells or will they kinda be half in and half out.

That's just it he hasn't moved all day. I really don't want that smell in my tank if he is dead but I don't want to just throw him out if he is just dormant

What is he sitting on in the picture? A piece of food? Maybe he's just eating. *shrugs*

Lift him out and do the sniff test, when they die they really stink! Sometimes my snail's don't not move for a while.

Yeah!!!!! My snail lives!! He scared me on that one.

I've had a snail sit like that for 2 days before after getting caught in a filter. I could have swore it was dead but he didn't smell so I just put him into his own QT for the duration and finally he came out of it. They are pretty hardy guys! Don't worry too much, when they die, you'll know it

Yeah I'm learning that about these guys. They do such a good job at helping to control bottom and wall cleaning
