I was catching my Betta Splenden to put him in a quarantine tank (fin rot), and I noticed a squiggly, white line (very narrow worm?) swimming in my tank. The aquarium light was off. When I turned the light back it, it froze and looked like a piece of white plant debris. Does anyone know what type of organism this is? Is it parasitic? How do I get rid of it?

Thanks,
-Josh

I am no expert but might be a consequence of overfeeding. Is your berta not trying to eat it?

Sounds like planaria. Clean water (water changes & gravel vacs) will get rid of them.
