I have a sunburst platy in my 10 gallon that i brought home about a week and a half ago. I am not sure of the gender. For the last four days or so, she (i will assume it's a female) has spent most of her time resting against the rocks on the bottom of the tank. Her belly is slightly enlarged, so I thought she may be pregnant, but I am not completely sure it is a female. She has always been a bit shy, but I am getting worried.

Also, she can still swim and eat normally, which confuses me more.

Actually I have come to the conclusion that it is a male. The tank is cycled and all the parameters are in check. I feed once a day

Try cutting back on the feeding to every other day, and try feeding him some peas. He could be getting bloated.
