switching heaters for ich
Hey my 5 gallon tank is contaminated with ich. I have a ten gallon tank with the heater I need to heat up the 5 gallon tank, since it lets me set the temps. I want to take the heater from the 5 gallon tank and put it in the 10 gallon tank.
what is a good way of cleaning the contaminated heater so I don't have ich spread through the ten gallon tank? Should I wash it with hot water? |

I'm thinking you could bleach it and rinse it really well. I'd consider getting a bucket, adding dechlorinator and dipping it in there a few times for the final rinse.

Definately the way to go is bleach. Do rinse it very well as said and dechlorinate it at the end to be safe.
