Just wondering if this is normal size in the belly for a tetra. I feed once in the morning.

I have black skirts tetras and they are little piggies. They look like that after they have eaten too much. Try fasting for a day or two and see if they go back to normal. You don't want them to be that full all the time so try feeding a little less.
 
The thing is that when I miss a day they attack the surface when I feed and splash me. I will try not feeding them for a couple days.

Haha. They will do that. As I said little piggies! Mine eat duckweed on fasting days so they are always full. Let us know how they go.
 
Drop the food into the back opening of the tank and leave the front lid closed, no splash that way!!
