Sort of in idle mode...pointed straight down.

Two out of my four are doing it now.I put some food in and they came to life which is a good sign, but one just stopped swimming for a moment and floated for a good few seconds mid feeding time.

Now they are pointed at the substrate again....thoughts?

I think that's how they sleep. Mine do that too quite often, sitting under my filter output. As long as they are eating fine, and everything looks ok, you should be fine. Do they liven up at times and play with the other barbs? If they do, then they are just resting.

Yes the waters is in great shape....I should have mentioned that.

Interesting wolf...I had no idea...glad to know it might be normal.

I'll try to find out tonight and have a suprise inspection after lights out.It will be telling if all four are doing then I would think.

Edited update:
Well they beat me to it.....They must read these boards and may also be in a union...that or they like the substrate as much as I do.

All four are looking at the sand now, lights on.

Just the tigers though fwiw....
