Velvet!

My rubber lip pleco has velvet, it looked like ich at first so I used API super ich cure only did that for a day until I realized what it was, so did like. 40% water change and waited a day now I've added maracide and now today ( a day later) it's much
Much worse. Nitrate are 0 nitrite is 0 ammonia is 0 temperature is at 26 I just turned it up a bit though. This is the second rubber lip pleco that's has gotten velvet and the first one ended up dying. All that's in the tank is a Betta a small
BN pleco and the rubber lip. Here's a pic of him is there anything I can do to help him I'm afraid hell die as well!

Turn the temp up to 30 C, keep the tank in total darkness until cured. Treat with methylene blue or malachite green. Formalin works too, but might be too strong for a pleco. Maybe someone else can comment on that.
