Oh i feel so bad, I recently discovered that what I thought was ich, is velvet. It's been going on for 3 weeks now, and I wondered why the ich treatment wasn't working. i woke up this morning, and found seven of my lyretail albino mollies dead on the floor.;_; I now only have 2 mollies left.At first I thought it was a new plant I had just put in yesterday, but I noticed some fish's gills were red. I've read up on the disease, and know how to treat it. But i'm still worried because this is only affecting my mollies and not my guppies, and my mom doesn't think it's as important as cleaning the house, so she won't take me out to get meds!! :evil:

What i'm doing:
raised temp to 85F
turned off lights
took out the carbon in filter
What I need:
Meds-copper sulphate
Aquarium salt

I don't think i'll be able to go to the pet store until this weekend! If anybody knows of any temporary things I can do to stop the velvet from getting worse I would appreciate it! ;_;
