One tablespoon per five gallons. This needs to be maintained every water change (if you change ten gallons add ten gallons worth of salt (2 tablespoons)).

WOOT!!! ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 20!!!!

finally. and hes still got the reds streaks and sores, but hes swimming, and getting stronger all the time!! even ate a pellet to day! (first time eating in over a week!) think he is gonna make it! its amazing how fast he went down hill and also amazing how fast the tank turned around with only a little bit of the CORRECT work.
