what effect water changes have on meds?

In the case that you are doing daily water changes and medicating, when and how much medication do you put back in w/ new water?

My betta is in a 2.5 gallon and appears to have dropsy. I am doing daily 50% water changes. But I also added 1/8 tsp epsom salt per gallon and 10 drops per gallon of an anti-bacterial medication for dropsy.

So if you take out half the water do you just replace half of the medication and salt? Or what?

You should replace an equal amount of meds to the amount of water you've removed. ie: if dosing 1 tsp per gal. and you remove a 1/2 gal, you should add back 1/2 tsp.
