What happened to my tank

What about if it is something that's more top level? Like oil based or something? Do you think that would make a difference? If its not contamination then I'm out if ideas :/

There is no film on top of the water, but sometimes bubbles from the bubblers build up.......

This 1 has really stumped me... Did their gills look ok? I'm not 100% but I don't think gill flukes would kill them all the quickly :/ have you changed anything in your tank recently? Or your equipment? Like the stuff you use to clean them out?

Sorry I'm out of ideas :/ never heard of this, Maybe it was just a freak occurrence that we don't know about and hopefully it won't happen again, I will keep thinking about it but this one has got me beat for now
