Hello,
I noticed that my better appears to have some black markings that he did not have before. I have been treating him with betta fix for a week now and nothing seems to be getting better. I suspected fin rot, however his fins look completely fine aside from the markings. I do not know if he is sick, or if he is simply a dalmatian? ( I have read this is possible but idk his markings seem too light.) I'm a new fish owner so I don't know much about what could be causing this. Thank you!:thanks:

That is a beautiful fish you have!

I'm new to keeping bettas, so don't take my word for fact, but I wouldn't worry about him. Bettas can change color over time (most of my females can change colors with their moods, like chameleons, lol), and his new black markings look quite natural to me. :)

Has he been displaying any concerning symptoms like lethargy, loss of appetite, or lack of interest in general?
