I've got some nipping problems in my tank. I plan on seperating my fish. Will the fins grow back?

type of fish? fish can grow back from fin rot / and nipping...

watch closely that your fish fins don't get fungal or infected....

Mooose..

fins

The type of fish are black ruby barbs, black phantom tetras, and serpa tetras. I'm taking everything back to the LFS except the barbs b/c those are the ones I like best. Although I know they are bad for nipping I think I just have too many fish in the tank and I'm going to stick with just barbs. The black ruby barbs are the smallest and youngest and I've watched them get harassed a good bit already.

What size tank do you have? What are the water parameters?
Adding Melafix and keeping up on PWC will do a world of good for the fish :D

I had a platy that had a short fin (probably fin rot/nipping) when I got her. All she needed was some space to herself, her photos are in my gallery. Her fin grew back in a week. I was impressed. Keep an eye out though for infection, it may need treated, although mine healed quickly on its own.

nipping

I have a 29 gallon tank. The water is pH=8. The LFS has the same water.
I have above adequate filtration. My water temp is 82F. I do 25-30% water changes weekly.
