Alien in my tank???

I've posted a few pics of this thing and nobody seems to know what it is. Today I took it out of my tank to get some better pics of it. Maybe these pics can help someone ID this thing for me.

thanks

I think it's a tail, when it moved that was toward the back and under it

At a glance they look exactly like what I have on numerous rocks in my tank. Mine turned out to be small clams of some sort. Many of them seem to be migratory.

It is a scallop. They will occasionally swim around the tank by clapping their halves together. Once they find a location they like, they tend to stay put.

The "Foot" is another way that they can maneuver themselves around, or attach themselves to something as necessary.

I'm sure it is a scallop. You'll need to provide phytoplankton for it to survive. It doesn't need light...in fact it probably doesn't like the light much.
