From most that I read, I think if you do a search on WetWebMedia, they are typically harmless in our tanks, unless you have one that it barbed... even still, since they are benthic, I don't think they will harm any of the upper level inhabitants...I better read more on them to be more accurate, but so far that is wat I understand...

i have one of these things in my tank too, pretty small but it does have the barbs... so is it bad, and come to think of it the rock that this thing is in i a live rock i bought with polyps and theres r the only polyps that are not openeing. could this be the problem??

i read the links that timbo posted and decided to leave it be so far the only thing i have seen it go after is algae i do not think mine is bad till it proves itself a threat it has a home in the main tank if i ever have cause to wonder it will be relocated to the sump.
