I was dipping a new colony of Lobo's that I got and I found this rather terrifying guy in the water after I removed the colony. My gut is telling me that it's a Bobbit worm and I've had a couple others from the lfs tell me that they think it might be as well but I wanted to put it out there and get some more opinions.
Right now fully stretched out it's about 5-6".

What do you guys think?

I hate to kill anything... perhaps it can live in a sump somewhere? I don't think a eunicid worm tank would be much fun.....lol.

My fear of putting this in my sump would be that it would somehow get into my tank. I don't want to kill it cause I'm facinated by it even though I'm terrified of how big it could potentially get

It won't make it back up. The only way would be through the return pump which would grind it up pretty good.
