Brown tubes on live rock

Can someone help identify what these things are?

Idk it looks like weird algae. Is it slimy?

It's not hard if that answers your question . I'm pretty new to aquariums and I'm about a month into cycling my live rock.

I wonder if they could be Vermetid gastropods. I have not found any pictures like what I have, but that is the closest I have found. I would like to ID everything in my tank because I am a geek like that.

I'm not sure what they are either!! But if someone finds out I'd like to know- I picked up a couple live rocks and discovered that exact stuff growing on it about a day later. I think it's algae of some sort. I tried removing it but it just comes back. Still looking for the answer- even chuck can't answer this question.

If you look along the left side of the tubes, some of them look like they have little wisps coming out of them. May be the camera though. I will check again when I get home
