bug in tank

Hey guys and gals. Found this "bug" in my cycling tank today. Looks like it is moving so I don't think it flew in the tank. Any help would be great.

Yes it is underwater just sitting on a rock. Is he okay to stay.
 
It looks like a common water beetle.No telling how it made it into your tank,but I would get rid of it.
