I jacked this pic from another post - but I have these exact things (spotted about 6 so far) in my 12g jbj nano cube that I filled with 8lbs of lr from the lfs. I have killed one with my glass scraper and like 6 seconds later my snail popped up from the sand and starting eating on it. I know they have like a hard "shell"... it wasnt all gooey. I figured they were a type of bad flatworm... but I thought they were toxic - why didnt my snail bite the dust? ;) should I leave em?

Thanks :) What are their reproductive stages like? Would it be any good to drop one or two into my 75g or would they not reproduce?

They have a long planktonic stage so it's unlikely that the larvae would survive long enough to settle.

I have to ask - how did you come up with that member name? It doesn't sound very polite if you ask me...

Ahh ok, thanks!

Ohh and it is TOTALLY based on aquaria btw... not getya-freak-on dreams :)

Mighty brave, coming from Mr. Bang  :D

LOL!

Good luck with the Chiton. I think they're wonderful and very interesting.

Oh, it's now Dr. Bang :D
