coral and red slime

2 questions--What is this mystery coral swfish.com sent me? I'm not quite sure.
And.... is this red slime algae beginning to grow on my rock. I wish
you would say coraline algae. It has all of a sudden really started to
show up. What treatment is best for that. Thanks!!

Looks like cyano to me. Coralline is purpleish.

Can't really get a good view of that picture, but from what i can see that coral might be a mushroom, galaxia, or GSP. Could you get a closer picture by any chance?

Here is a great pic. It seems pretty healthy. I need to get
rid of this cyano. It has all of a sudden gone wild. I just did
a 25% wc and it hasn't slowed down. I have skimmer and
powerhead in a 20 gal. Lots of Ricordea, a nice chili and a
galaxea which I had to move out of my big tank cuz it killed
my hammer coral. They are deadly for sure! Watch out for that.
Don't buy a sea hare either!!

Yes that is a Harry carpet mushroom. The red is red slime. There are several red slime controls on the market that work good.

I think I'll try that boyds chemiclean. I have read the most
good stuff on that brand. I am definitely having a slime fest
in my tank as of late. Livestock are ok though. Need to syphon
some out too. Constant challenges in SW aquaria!! My husband
thinks I torture myself.

They really grow when the lights come on don't they, I have a smaller
one down below it. How long do we need to leave lights on. I usually
program 1-10pm. It is in a 20gal tank with PC lights.
