I noticed something small on a small rock today. It's quite small and I can't make out what it is. I haven't bought any corals for my tank yet so I'm doubting it's a coral. Maybe something of algae? Any guess?

Aptasia. They are a pest anemone. I'd remove that piece of rock/rubble since it looks so small, and get rid of it. That may be the only one you have an will save you alot of headache down the road.

hhee since its so small, for mine i just took it out and use a tooth brush and wash it off the rock and dump it in the toilet.
but sometimes it attach on base rock, so then it will take sometime to get rid of it.
It never really been a problem, didn't sting my coral nor spread everywhere.
