Contrary to s impossible to [acronym="Identify"]ID Acropora beyond genus, from pictures (with a couple of exceptions.). Best I can do is Acropora spp.

yeah i know its very hard/impossible to guess what they are?

do you have some sort of idea? as i would just like to be able to say yeah that could be a acropora *******, but explain that you cant really get down to family, but just genes and the family is just a guess.

The only books I have for ID do not specify species, I need to pick up Corals of the World by Vernon, just haven't gotten around to it.

I can tell you the third one looks like A. millepora to me.

The second one reminds me of A. granulosa.

The fourth is a tri-color bottle brush type acro, not clue on a species ID

The sixth looks like a table acro, again no idea on species ID.

Best I can do, and may be wrong.

Ive had a look at eric bornemans book and this is what i think:

1 - acropora verweyi / secale.
2 - acropora granulosa / verweyi.
3 - acropora millepora.
4 - acropora cerealis / valida.
5 - acropora nasuta / tenuis.
6 - acropora valida / latistella.
7 - acropora carcoliniana.

So what do you guys think?

Sorry I don't have any idea what they are, I was wondering though what type of camera you used to take the pictures? What's the optical and digital zone levels?

TIA
