cyano?

i dont think this id cyano, as it appears to be spotted... but I figure I will post and get opinions...

possible coraline growth, as it (coraline) seems to be popping up everywhere....

I would lean towards coraline. Is it on the sand, do you see it forming on the glass or anywhere else besides the rocks?

Like you said it looks rather spotty and I think that if it was cyano that it would be more sheet like and covering a bigger area of your tank! JMO though.

Hard to tell. Try blowing it with a baster and see what happens. If it's coralline, it will stay put. If it's cyano, it should blow away.

thats what i figured...

I was just getting a bit worried as most folks it takes months to show up and I am sitting at @6 weeks 8O

but as a beginner its best to bite the bullet and ask then assume eh?
