Diatom bloom?

Hey everyone. Just started to notice this brown stuff started to accumulate right in front in the sand. Is this diatom?

Yep those are diatoms- perfectly normal part of the maturation process.

Should I go lights out for a couple days or just let it run it's course?

No just let it run it's course they will go away. They come and go from time to time. How old is the system?

Sounds about right for a diatom bloom. They will feed off if silicates and then disappear. Just give them time.
