Well I came home from work and was doing my daily tank inspection and noticed this blue stuff in an old clam shell:

I've been wondering what this little pink tree is as well:

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

1 - Coral Beauty
1 - pink and yellow dottyback
1 - sixline wrasse
1 - lawnmower blenny
1 - Silver, yellow, blue damsel
1 - snowflake eel
1 - long spine sea urchin
2 - Blue damselfish

I'm assuming its the blue damselfish's eggs, if they are eggs. He is guarding the old clam where the "eggs" are and being very aggressive towards anything that comes close and won't back down, including my hand!

I did some research and found that those are symptoms of the male guarding the eggs, but I couldn't come to a clear answer if those are eggs or not because I know damselfish are very territorial.

I'm mostly just curious because I've read that it's easy for damsels to breed but is it common? Does it warrant any bragging rights?

Also, any word on the pink tree?

Its possible that those are theirs eggs eapecially if they are being aggressive toward whatever comes near.
