I have a handful (5-10) of what I believe are digitate hydroids in my FOWLR tank. They look like the drawing on xtalreef and similar to the pic on melevsreef but smaller. They are approximately 1" long and come out when the lights are off and retract when the lights come on. Do I need to worry about them? If so, what's the best way to remove them? Don't say take the rock out, it's one of the bottom rocks!

I tried very hard to get a picture but they're too darn small.

Are you sure it's not a small bristleworm extending it's arms for food? Does it react if touched?
