Evil Crab?

Can someone tell me what this crab is and if he's reef safe? He came in on one of my rocks some time ago.. I only see him out about once a month or so.. Hmmmm..... I have had a featherduster or two disappear......

Ok, Ok, Ok, Ok........ I get the point...

Now, does anybody have a proven method of catching elusive crabs? I have read somewhere about using a tall glass with food in the bottom, is that effective? Also, does anyone know what species this crab is? Thanks...

That often works. A friend at work uses a long pointy stick to remove them.

While I have come to agree that they do not belong in a home aquarium they do serve a purpose in the wild. As you so succinctly put it, as part of the food chain (with me on top of the chain)
