He has been cycling his 60 tall, and he bought live rock, a few days later he had these bright green polyps shooting out all over his rocks.
His water is testing perfect.

He also has been dealing with hair algae.

My main question is what are these bright green polyps? Are they good/bad? How do we get rid of them?

Also what's the best way to get rid of hair algae?

Neomeris. That is a green macro algae.
There are two links in my signature to algae battles you should read. Algae is a sign of nutrient issues in the water column...though the neomeris is a good guy to have, really cool macro.

Thanks! I personally think they look kinda cool, but I've come to learn in the salt water hobby that somethings can look cool and be really bad, and vis versa. :p

I tried to view your links in your signature, but it doesn't let me. I'm using the iPhone app, maybe that's the reason.
