Frogspawn appendage and spreading?

I've had frogspawn coral in my tank for about 5 months and I noticed an appendage coming out from the stalk.

I assume this is a new branch growing but I've noticed several other of these appendages growing in different spots around my tank. Here is another growing out of a piece of rock.

Is this the way frogspawn propagates? If it is not the way it propogates, any idea what this might be?

No, that is a tube worm. I have tons of them.

That's a tube worm? Similar to a feather duster?

I'm assuming. I never see anything but the tubes that keep growing around my tank.

Interesting. I just did a quick search and someone noted that you will sometimes see a "web" like structure floating in the water - almost looks like a puff of white smoke. I've seen that in the tank a few times and wondered what it was. I took it out but could not figure out what it was from.

Yeah, I have seen them off of some, I guess I forgot about that attribute!
