i was told this might be a saltwater goby, but i purchased it as a brackish goby. he seems to be doing well in my tank, but if he's saltwater, i'd rather find him a better home than my brackish tank. thanks.

There was a minor typo in the image URL. I have corrected that and now the image appears as should.

Thanks kevin for posting a link to the photo.

Jebus,

Maybe another photo, if you are able. It seems no one can identify your little fellow. Could you try again, please.

well, i don't have a digi, mine was checked out from campus, so i'll have to wait until next time.

nobody even has a guess? it was sold to me as a fairy goby, if that helps.

It is Redigobius balteata. It is a S/W goby, in which case the lower salinity of a brackish tank will eventually cause it's kidneys to fail. I would take it back

i would, but the lfs i picked it up at kept it in a brackish tank. perhaps i could take it to a different store and get some credit or something. or at least know that he's not going to die of kidney failure.
