My only thought is a sponge, as they can grow little silica spikes within them...

Hmmm, out of water might not be good for certain sponges...perhaps closer to the tank's edge....?

ive been removing it daily... i dont like the look of it.. even if it is harmless lol. so if i when i pull it out i can take a picture

Ehhh, me since I got into SW tank, I really don't like to willingly kill stuff...I even let my aiptasia hang out for over 1.5 years until it became like a weed.
Who knows, it could be a pretty cool hitch hiker.
If it is a sponge, they come and go.
