Help me identify these stars and urchins
Here is the fist starfish I think maybe it's a red sea star like on this link:
http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/p...=23&pCatId=578 The other 3 little guys I'm not sure about. My [acronym:d58a8cbb62="Local Fish Store"]LFS[/acronym:d58a8cbb62] said they will eat what they come across and I feed a blendermush to the entire tank. Do I need to actually target feed each of these? |

i know there is a certain knob star fish that eats reefs, hope yours isnt one of them

There are harmful urchins as well. I dunno if that's one of em' but WOW how beautiful.

Without seeing the top of the first star, it looks much like a Fromia sp. as well. Quite reef safe.
The urchin looks like a pincushion species... Primarily an algae grazer but this type will strip coralline quite quickly. I would also not trust it in a coral reef tank. The last pic very much resembles a Fromia milliporella as you've already found. Cheers Steve |
