The black thing is about 1/4" in diameter

The black thing appears to be a hitch hiker urchin. Nice freebie if so. The bubbles are sponges. nothing to worry about.
 
Does the black thing move? I was thinking majano or maybe a polyp. Or maybe an urchin.

EDIT: Mr X just pulled ninja on me lol
 
Yes it moves around the rock... VERY SLOWLY! So it's a good thing to have Mr. X?
 
I have heard of urchins that eat corals, but all the hitch hiker urchins I ever got turned out to be model citizens, and great additions. I would keep the little guy unless you see him misbehaving.
 
You bet. They will graze a bit of coraline algae, but are certainly safe. When he gets bigger, don't handle him as he can deliver a painful sting.
