Hitchhiker ID?

Saw this guy today in my cycling tank. He's pretty small and translucent as you can see, maybe 1/2 inch right now but hard to tell as he's curled up. For the last 2 hrs since I spotted it, it's been sitting between a LR & glass doing summersaults & eating algae. Any ideas?

My original thought is he's shrimp like is shape, but I have no idea.

I did, that was my thought, just wanted confirmation before I took him out. I've lost track now though, ****.

Upon further research, it also, if not moreso, looks like an amphipod. Any other thoughts?

Definately a pod a baby mantis wouldn't eat algae, I don't think, but pods do

I agree. Amphipid. I have a bunch of them in my refugium. They're good for your tank. They clean and some fish eat them.
