I recently picked up some free polys, and noticed a very small branch type thing. I acclimated everything and put them on sand bed. I didn't think anything of it. Today I noticed this guy. 10 days ago when I put him into tank he was less thank .25". Now he's at least 2". Name....?
Kenya tree. Liveaquaria says that they need moderate to high lighting and medium to strong flow. Once he gets a little bigger, he'll drop "branches" and will spread. That's what mine I'd anyway.
Really if he's in an ok spot, it's up to you. If you do want to put him on a rock or frag plug, I'd advising using glue. I just sat mine on a rock and it took like three months to fully attach because of the current.
