I'm pretty sure it's an acropora.

Quite accurate as a bird's nest. Yours has much longer branches than the one pictured. Tons of light = short, thick branches while less = long, thin ones.

Well if it's a birds nest then I sure have it in the right place lol.

So you think that's really what it is? I love this coral? It's beautiful!!! And fit perfectly where I wanted it to!!

Thanks! Makes me happy. Only thing that scares me is that one branch is almost out of the water. Can I cut it? Is that called fragging?

I'm gonna have to read up on how to frag and what tools are needed. I couldn't pass the price up. I think I did well for its size.

Yeah, it is a nice bird's nest. I can't wait til I can have one in my tank. You can frag it if you wanted. I haven't done any myself, but I believe you need to do it at a joint like you would trim a tree.

A guy a my lfs had a coral that looked just like that one and I wanted it and he told me it was an acro and kind of hard to keep. Booo I wanted it. Thanks for correcting me.
