I got worm in my tank

Didn't get a picture but it was about 1 to 1 1/2 in length. White with pelnty of legs and looked like tenaciles, Is this a bad critter or a good one? I will try and get a picture but when the lights went on he went by by.

Sounds like a bristle worm. Considered by most to be beneficial detrivores and an essential part of the sandbed infauna.

I didn't think they crawled on the sides of the tank. Ok no problem. as long as he don't eat my fishies
