I have these things that look like small trees

without the leaves living on my live rock. Can anyone identify it?

Also--I have this crud all over the inside of the tank on the glass. Any clue?

I am still cycling and also have a nice crop of hair algae ya see there...

Whatever they are, they look neat!

The crud on the glass is normal for a cycling tank. You could use an algae scraper or a mag float to clean the glass. When you're done cycling and pick up your cleanup crew, they'll eat some of that stuff for you.

Hard to see from the pix but it looks like a form of kelp though the photos a real blurry there. A tang or other herbivore will consume it quickly and its a generally a good thing to have.

I agree it looks like some type of macro. The stuff on your glass is normal in a cycling tank.
