Was at the LFS and grabbed this little guy last minute as an impulse for 4 bucks.

Guy said he was a fiddler crab and reef safe

After some research I'm doubting that its a fiddler because they go on the land? Correct me if I'm wrong, thanks!!

everything about fiddler crabs says they go on land.
I am confused.
They had him submerged at the LFS....

I'm sure he is fine always under water and you are just thinking about different crabs. I'd be more leaning towards him not adjusting to the parameters of the tank well. Did you acclimate him? I've killed tons of inverts this way.

Yeah I drip acclimate everything because I'm paranoid. I found him hiding in a cave I think he's doing okay.

prolly a female fiddle crab...they have 2 small claws,male has one claw larger than the other....

He survived my tank upgrade though just saw him come out today. He's not hurting anyone I don't think and I like him!
