I had a small hammer coral that didn't make it, too much flow :( So anyway... I kept the stalk of the skeleton in the tank...

a month later I see these growing on the stalk...
Any Ideas?

I believe it's the hammer budding. I have a branching hammer that used to be five stalks but is now only two. The dead stalks have buds just like that on them.

Hey FF I have a Branching Hammer, and I was looking up info on it today online. I came across a pic that I cant seem to find right now. Anyway the pic was a pic of the hammer coral bud. It looks just like what you have!!! :D

Cool thanks for the help guys...
I really hope it is new hammer branching out from the old dead stalk... I learned hammers do not like high flow !
