I bought this coral thinking it was a birds nest coral, but have realized that it's not even close. Didn't see anything similar on live aquaria.

It almost looks like a Goniopora to me, just a guess though.

Thats it. It is flower pot coral not birdsnest. I see. I got it as a flower pot coral just got mixed up in my mind with birdsnest. I started calling it birdsnest then realized its not a birds nest.

Glad that that is what it is! It looked like it at first, then I looked it up on Google Images to be sure. And once I figured out how to spell Goniopora, I posted!

This is my healthiest/best looking frag. It is open all day everyday. I wonder why? I have an acropora and montipora that are doing very well also, but my zoas are just so-so, they stay closed most of the day. My zoas don't look like they are dying, and one seems to have some new polyps, but hardly ever fully open. Thanks for the ID
