Oh and when I tried to touch it to see if it retracted it retracted so fast before I could touch it... I think it retracted from the movement of the water....

Could it be a ball anemone? The closer I look it does seem to have some type of ball towards the ends....

That was my original thought. Look up pictures of psuedocorynactis and see if any of those match what you have.

These guys are Corynactis or ball anemones no harm to the tank

Looks like a patch of hidden cup coral to me. I had one of these pop up out of nowhere about a month ago. I spent months researching it. When they retract does it look like a brown chestnut kind of?
